![]() ![]() The male was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The male then told officers that he had just ingested heroin as police initially approached him. As he was being walked to a nearby patrol car, he struggled to walk and started showing signs of overdosing. Also found in the backpack of the male was fentanyl, several used syringes, a large hunting knife, and several tools (bolt cutters/tin snips). Upon searching the male, several other stolen items were recovered that he had just stolen from the discount store. The male, a 42-year-old Clinton Township resident, had several stolen items from the discount store protruding from his waistband under his shirt. As the male exited the discount store approximately twenty minutes later, officers approached him to talk to him. The male was then seen walking to a local discount store. About 30 minutes later, one of the two males was seen exiting Panera Bread out of a side door, and the officer noticed the male had changed his shirt while inside of the restaurant. Due to an increase in larceny from autos, stolen vehicles, and stolen catalytic converters in the area, the officer continued to monitor the subjects as they entered Panera Bread. The officer observed two white males wearing backpacks walking through the parking lots. On June 1, 2023, at approximately 7:45 PM, an officer was patrolling parking lots of businesses on Hall Road. ![]()
